OCR: A single tear rolled down the bird's face ... THERE WAS NO NAME. His mournful cry filled the air as he ran down the cliff-face, leaving his friend Parrot behind. "Now what did he do that for?" muttered Parrot. He stared into the blackness, hearing the sad cry. Suddenly, there was a rush of wings, as Owl flew back to the cliff-ledge. "That was his cry, was't it? I've remembered his name ... get him back." Parrot scrambled along, gliding where his wings would let him. He could hear the cry below him on the forest floor. Slowly he dropped, plopped onto the ground and skidded down a grassy slope. "Owl's remembered the name," he screeched. Page 12 A RARE BIRD, indeed! Exit
